Meet Kit: The New Solana JavaScript SDK

Today we are launching new documentation and API reference material for the Solana JavaScript SDK at www.solanakit.com.

Moreover, this marks the end of the long transition to Kit – a reimagining of how to build Solana applications and clients for on-chain programs. Those of you used to building software with web3.js v1 may be interested in this Upgrade Guide.

Start with the Installation guide, dive right in to the Core Concepts, or wade through the auto-generated API Reference. Whenever you can't find what you're looking for, or your have a question, trigger the AI-assisted search that gives answers using content from the docs, the Solana Stack Exchange, and from GitHub. If you see an error or would like to contribute content, launch the docs site locally, make your change, and send us a pull request.

The visual identity for the new SDK is the work of the inimitable artist Joice Loo. We are so excited to have worked with her to bring Solana Kit to life, and we're proud to introduce you to Kit now!
